The Dividend declared and distributed by the Company to its shareholders which remains unclaimed gets accumulated with the Company. As per Section 125 of the Companies Act, 2013, such unclaimed dividend lying with the companies for a period of seven years is required to be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF)
MCA had issued a Circular, notified in the Gazette of India G.S.R. 854 (E) dated September 5, 2016, notifying the Rule "Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016". As per this Rule, claims in respect of dividend amounts which has been transferred to IEPF, can be made by making an application in Form IEPF 5. The refund procedure can be accessed at:
