Tara India Fund IV is a ₹ 3.5 bn fund registered as a Venture Capital Fund ("VCF") under the SEBI (Venture Capital Funds)
Regulations, 1996. It is a 2016 vintage fund with large European sovereigns and Indian financial institutions as investors
The Fund’s focus to pursue profitable, socially relevant investments. This is on continuation with IIML’s belief that that Environmental,
Social and Governance (ESG) is an investment and risk management tool to be woven into the business collage to help assess and
manage all risks successfully
The Fund intends to primarily target small and middle-market Indian companies that are technology enabled and innovation oriented,
have a favourable competitive position with attractive growth prospects and have a strong social footprint. The Fund focuses on
sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Food & Agri, ICT, Financial Inclusion, Logistics, Alternative Energy and any other opportunity
that creates positive social footprint
The Fund has currently committed about 60% of its capital in 10 investments across Healthcare, Food & Agri, ICT, Education and
Logistics, and is in the investment mode
